I’m an avid fan of GOOD.is, a webzine that writes on all things techno-enviro-designo-scientific and they frequently spotlight designers that are impacting the industry in a positive way. One such design group that I stumbled across was the Pencil Factory. I found the site through just one of the designers but they’re all quite amazing. The site’s idea is pretty awesome too and though it doesn’t convey much intuitively, it is fun, and funny. My favourite of the selected works on the home page are the first, second, and last, but they’re all equally quite amazing. The site is a rabbit warren though so it takes a while to go through it all. I haven’t even seen it completely, but it’s worth the discovery like so many other websites. I’d probably comment more on the idea of newsprint and how these designers are really pushing the envelope in terms of getting the most out of the medium and how it’s sad that newsprint is dying out but I’m kind of tired and sick so I’ll let you draw your own conclusions on this one. Enjoy.

Everything, Living, Smoking. Even to an existentialist like Sarte there are important things in life and I intend to find them out for myself.

I grew up in a tornado and whirled uncontrollably amongst field after field of corn. I ventured to California for solid ground and found love. I have a large supportive, merry family and a chatty cat I call The Admiral. I spent six years in the Air Force and am currently a student of English at UCB.

I classify myself as a normal person who wishes he was weirder. Though to be honest, I'm probably a lot weirder than I give myself credit for. I'm a certifiable pop-culture junkie. I watch tons of TV, movies and play video games. But I believe in balance, so I read, write, draw and try to get out of the house every now and then.
